Watch and Pray ...

Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we are in the winter season where days are both cooler and the daylight hours shorter. Meanwhile, the Northern Hemisphere is enjoying their summer season.

Africa and Asia are more accustomed to wet and dry or hot and cold seasons. They define the rhythms we live our lives by.

Within SOWERS, we often talk of seasons – those periods that are good for planting and reaping and we want to make the most of them. There are seasons of great business and activity and others that are at a slower pace.

Ps 1:1-3 tells us clearly that while the person who meditates on God’s Word day and night is blessed, yet, like a tree, he only yields fruit in season. Then it goes on to say that godly people prosper in whatever they do! That means we can be in a season that is not producing fruit, and still be prospering in every area of our life.

As Sowers we need to be wise discerners of the seasons so that we keep in step with God. May we be like Issachar’s descendants, mentioned in 1 Chron 12:32, “who understood the times (seasons) and knew what to do.”

God bless you all
